Peter McKinnon was one of the first YouTube photographers that I started to follow when I chose to take the hobby more seriously.
I’m not the only one, he’s got nearly 6 million subscribers at the time of writing this. Likely not all are photographers, but we can be sure there’s a fair amount in that grouping.
When he posted this video it came at the right moment. I hadn’t touched my camera or editing software in weeks. I felt uninspired and frustrated. But this was a reminder to get out a little. Stop trying to be fancy and just shoot something you love and share it. Don’t try to turn everything into “the best photo”, just make sure you love what you take.
